Assignment:

• Work through the lesson and watch the videos. Do the " Try It/Solve It"
  activities on slides 15 and in Lesson 1. Slide 16 can be used for extra credit.
• Print the questions and your answers in a Word document. Due Wed. August 18
• Work through the second lesson. Do the "Try It/Solve It" activities on slide 4. Your teacher will assign two two letters for you to research. You will create your project in Word.
• Project: Students are to construct an "A to Z" pictorial for the classroom depicting the history of people who have contributed ideas and inventions that have extended humankind's ability to think and process information. In addition, students will relate the invention or idea to events that were occurring at that time in history.
• Use the Internet addresses below to start your research. Include the following items.

  • Invention or Contribution
  • What the invention/contribution was designed to accomplish
